jFOR SUMMER '69?
Bridal Fashions
Go Sentimental
! When it comes to selecting
Vour wedding dress, go ahead
be sentimental The occa
ion demands it, and fashion
avors it.
Designers of bridal fashions
have risen to the occasion with
Summer collections that can
only be described as dreamy,
romantic, feminine, and frank
ly sentimental.
I Gossamer cotton organdy
tmd demure dotted swiss are
he fabrics summer's dream
est bridal gowns are made of.
knd they're daintily embel
ished with eyelet ruffles, cot
on guipere lace, or white-on
white embroidery
I Most popular style is the
fitted look with a sculp
tured Empire bodice under
scored by an embroidered in
pet or a high belt Sleeves are
Jong and circled with eyelet
leuffles at the wrist, or short
pnd puffed with embroidered
Cuffs. Skirts follow the A line,
flaring into sweeping chapel
trains.
i In addition, there are A-line
prgandy skimmers with jewel
necklines and detachable
'trains. Some feature overall
floral embroidery, while oth
ers have contrasting embroid
ered yokes and sleeves.
: While you can ? and should
1? indulge in sentimentality
yhen selecting that all-impor
lant wedding dress, add a dash
pf practicality as well. Decide
an advance the type of wed
ding you're going to have and
|the style dress you want to
?wear. Then you'll be able to
(give the bridal consultant or
sales clerk a clear idea of what
jyou're looking for.
! When you go to try on wed
ding dresses, be prepared.
?Wear or take with you the
type shoes you plan to wear

junder-pinnings as a waist

Pink Party Tea
Just for fun. give a pink party lea! It could be a shower
honoring an earl\ Spring bride, a birthday party for a sweet
si.\teener or even a silver wedding anniversary celebration
Set the table w it h a pale pink cloth and use pink carnations
for a centerpiece Keep the refreshments in the pink pastel
shades, too. Tiny tea sandwiches can be pink and white
delights if you use white bread cut in heart or diamond shapes
and filled with cream cheese blended with red currant jelly or
deviled ham. Tint the frosting for an angle food cake with red
food coloring to complete your pink party theme.
The tea itself, of course, should be piping hot and full of
flavor To make it follow these simple directions recom
mended by the experts. First, use a teapot and warm this by
rinsing it out with hot water. Second, bring freshly drawn cold
water to a. full rolling boil. Third, measure out enough tea ?
one teaspoonful or one teabag per cup. Then, pour the boiling
water over the tea. And finally, let the tea brew 3 to 5 minutes
to bring out all its flavor. Serve with a choice of lemon slices
or milk and sugar.
