Justice Miss Shirley Perry was on vacation last week and visited her brother and his family, Mr. and Mrs. C. G. Perry and children at Roanoke Rapids. While there they toured places of interest in Virginia. Mr. George L. Broome was in Duke Hospital at Durham last week from Tuesday until Saturday for observation, tests and treatments. Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie Over ton and sons, Terry and Randy, from Kinston were weekend guest in the home of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Overton. Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Gat ling took Mrs. Nowmin Wicks to Durham Sunday afternoon to see her husband. She spent the night and Mr. and Mrs. Graham Maynard of Durrham . brought her home Monday and stayed until Wednesday. Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Wheiess and son Danny from Durham spent Friday night with Mr. and Mrs W. G. Rice. Terry Wheiess. who had spent the summer with his grand parents, went home with his parents Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Hayes 1 and daughters, Patsy and Debbie from Florence, S. C. visited Mr. Mark Hayes Mon day. They all went to Wilson that afternoon to see a friend in the hospital there then had supper at Parker's Restaurant. Mrs. Clyde Copped ge came home Tuesday. She had been visiting Mr. and Mrs. Fred Cogdill and son, Eddie, at j Laurens. S. C. since last Sat | urday. Rev. and Mrs. Hoyt Lock and family vacationed last week at Emerald Isle. Mrs. C. V. Timberlake is visiting with relatives at Char lotte this week. Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Tim berlake left Monday to visit with Mr and Mrs. Johnny Grubbs at Falls Church, Va. Mr. and Mrs. Grubbs are par ents of a baby daughter born on Monday. August 25. Mrs. Grubbs is the former Marilyn Timberlake of Youngsville. Rarely does anyone take the trouble to thank anyone for anything. Religion is one thing no one can take from you - if you have any.
