Cash, Horton Wed Saturday Mi* Judy Kaye Horton and Mr. Claude F el ton Cash, A. spoke their wedding vows Saturday, August 30, at eleven o'clock at New Hope Qirfctian Church. The Rev. Tracy Floyd, pastor of the bride, officiated at the double-ring ceremony. The bride Is the daughter of Mrs. Lillian Denton Hor ton of Route 1, Louisburg, and the bridegroom is the son <#f Mr. Claude Felton Cash, Sr. of Louisburg, and the late Mrs. Cash. A program of nuptial music was rendered by pian ist, Mrs. Donna Perry. Soloist, Mrs. Tracy Floyd, sang "Whither Thou Goest", and "O Perfect Love". The bride wore a formal gown of imported silk or ganza over taffeta and Chan tQly lace. The empire bodice which was entirely of Chan tilly lace featured a scalloped neckline encrusted in seed pearls and short lace sleeves. The Aline skirt was entirely of sQk organza over taffeta adorned with scattered chan tflly lace appliques. The hem line of the gown was also adorned in a scalloped lace edging. A chapel train of silk organza flowed from the em pire line. The bride wore a bouffant veil of imported silk illusion attached to petals of illusion encrusted In seed pearls. She carried a white Bible, topped with a white orchid showered with lace and satin streamers. For her daughter's wed ding, Mrs. Horton chose a pink silk and worsted sheath dreas with scooped neckline. The left side of her dress was appliqued with lace flowers centered with rhinestones. She wore matching accesso ries and a corsage of pink cymbidiums. Mrs. Winston Davis, sister of the groom, serving in his mother's place, wore a green crepe street length dress with matching accessories and a cymbidium orchid coisage. Ushers were James Sterling Hunt, cousin of the bride and Williaim Winston Davis, Jr., nephew of the groom. After a wedding trip the couple will make their home in Louisburg. For traveling the bride changed to an ensemble of red dacron polyester knit, with contrasting tie and black patent accessories. She wore the orchid corsage lifted from her Bible. RECEPTION Immediately following the wedding the bride's mother entertained at a reception in the Fellowship Hall of the church. Mrs. Athleen Saund ers welcomed the guests and introduced them to the re MRS. CLAUDE FELTON CASH, JR ceiving line composed of the bridal couple, their parents and the ushers. Mrs. William H. Lewis, Jr., sister of the groom, served the cake after the bride and groom had cut the first slice. Mrs. Marguerite Spencer in vited the guest to the refresh ment table where a four tiered wedding cake, mints, nuts, bridal drops and coco nut balls were served. Punch was poured by Mrs. James S. Hunt, cousin of the bride. The table was covered with white satin with maline and lace trim; at each corner was a white satiii bow and bridal flowers. The arrangement in the center was all white wed ding flowers with silver can delabras. Mrs. Vivian Joyner pre sided over the guest register. On this table was a portrait of the bride and her bridal bou quet. * Goodbyes were said to Miss Debbie Holmes and Miss Dianne Denton, cousins of the bride. Mrs. Marguerite Spencer directed the wedding.' Approximately 100 guests were present. After Rehearsal Party Following the Cash-Hor ton wedding rehearsal Mr. and Mrs. Winston Davis, of Louisburg and Mr. and Mrs. William H. Lewis, Jr., of Farmville, sisters of the groom, entertained the bridal couple and weddihg part/ at a party Friday night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Her man Spencer on Jeffress Drive in Louisburg. The Spen cer's summer living room was the setting for the gay occa< sion. Beautiful arrangements of summer flowers were used throughout the Spencer home. Guests were served re freshments of wedding molds, bridal cakes, nuts, and mints. The bridal couple received gifts of silver. Wake Forest Club Holds Art Festival The Fine Arts section or the Wake Forest Woman's Club will hold its annual Art Festival on September 13 and 14, according to an an nouncement. Deb nam and other friends of the groom from Bunn. Youngsville Mr. and Mrs. D. H. Cyrus, Jr. and their children (pent the Labor Day weekend in Georgia with the highlight of the trip being a visit to Six Flags.
