Deaths And Funerals LUCINDY I. ROSS Franklinton ?- Funeral ser vices for Lucindy I. (Pootie) Ross, 86, who died Friday, were held Saturday at 4 P.M. at the Union View Baptist Church by the Rev. Glen Short. Burial followed in the Fairview Cemetery. MRS. HELEN B. STONE I Greensboro -- Mrs. Helen Beitel Stone, 93, of Rt. 6, j Greensboro, widow of Joseph j J. Stone, a one time em ployee of The Franklin Times, Louisburg, died Thurs day at Greensboro Nursing and Convalescent Center, I where she stayed one week. I Mrs. Stone was a native of Nazareth, Pa. had lived here for 50 years ''and was a former school teacher in New York i City before her marriage. Her j late husband owned the J. J. Stone Printing Co. in Greens boro. She was a member of the Round Table Study Club and the D.A.R. Funeral services were con ducted Saturday at 3 P.M. from the West Market Street United Methodist Church, where she was ? member. There were no immediate sur vivors but Mrs. Stone was a cousin of E. F. Thomas of Louisburg and Mrs. Charles Best of Franklinton. Burial followed in the Fair view Cemetery. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Zonia P. WheeU?i"r"a step daughter, Mrs. Burnell Strick land of Franklinton; two sis ters, Mrs. Henry Goswick of Franklinton and Mrs. Annie Wynne; two brothers, John of Franklinton and Perry Wheeler of Louisburg: two grandchildren. Thanks I wish I could tell each of you personally what it has meant to my children and me to have your various expres sions of sympathy during this time of bereavement in the loss of my husband, Tollie H.
