Justice Mrs Sidney Cayton, Mr A. F. Dunn's sister from Wil son, spent several days with Mr. and Mrs. Dunn last week. She returned home Saturday. Guests in the home of Mr. and Mrs. N. J. Wicks Saturday were: Mr. and Mrs. Harold Wicks and children, Cheri, Lorri and Gary from Durham. Mrs. John Walker, Mrs. Norman Neal and Miss Rhonda Martin from la Crosse, Va. visited Mrs. Vera S. White and Carlos Stfkday. Mr. Ben Wheless from Bris tol, Va. was a weekend guest in the home of Mrs. B. F. Wheless and Mr. and Mrs. Marion Wheless. Mr. Howard Lee Carden visited Mr. and Mrs. Kenny Baker at Carolina Beach last weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Davis from Chesapeake, Va., Mr, and Mrs. .Vernon Pearce and children from Rolesville, Mr. and Mrs. Larry Roberson and Wendy Renee from Raleigh, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Davis from Pilot and Mrs. E. G. Davis, Mrs. Mollie Coppedge, Mrs. Elizabeth Layton and Miss Ernestine Layton all had din ner Sunday.with Mr. and Mrs. William T. Boone and sons. Mrs. E. G. Davis and Mrs. Mollie D. Coppedge were in vited to dinner Monday night at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Lamm in Spring Hope. The dinner honored Mrs. Coppedge on her birthday. Mrs. Iva , McGregor from the Philadelphia community in Nash County spent Satur day night with Mr. and Mrs. Z.T.Perry. Seven Paths Mrs. Mable Moore of Rocky Mount and Mrs. Har riett Moore of Louisburg were with Mrs. L. S. Gay and Jenny for the weekend. November 19. at 6:45 at t he home of Mrs. Janie Tippett. After a delicious dinner by candlelight. Mrs. Dot Clay in troduced the speaker of the evening. Mrs. Virginia Taylor. Mrs. Taylor, an outstanding member of the Louisburg Garden Club, spoke on Christmas decorations. She emphasized choosing a fa vorite color or colors and decorating one's entire home around this theme using live greens and personal touches. Mrs. Shirley Carter and ,Mrs. Louise Jeffreys reported that the fall daijce was the most successful in the history of the club with 133 couples attending. Everyone was com mended for their hard work and fine cooperation. Mrs. Dorenda Stewart, chairman of the International Affairs Department, reported on the committee meetings and encouraged all members to stay "in the know" on world happenings and truly be "concerned women in ac tion". Mrs. Stewart announc ed that her department would sponsor a "Penny a Meal" drive to collect a contribution at the end of the club year for Project Concern, National Federation's self help pro grata for > underprivileged na tions. Members were urged to fly their American flags on all proper occasions. > The president. Mrs. Joyce Holton. chair man of committee for the float for the parade, announc ed that plans for a spectacular float were well underway and asked that all members report to Ford's warehouse Tuesday and Wednesday night. Mrs. Dot Clay reported that several other local organ izations were aware of the need in Franklin County for a Clothing Closet and would help support this project.
