Bunn Beats EB Eagles Reported by Graham Baker The Bunn Bulldogs led by James Horton, Wayne Hor ton, and Glenn Cone easily took their second conference victory of the year with a 65-44 decision over the Ed ward Best Eagles. The game was a close one up to halftime with Bunn holding a slim 6 point margin, I but in the third quarter, "things were different as the Bulldogs outscored the Eagles 21 to 5. Edward Best was never again a serious threat. James Horton was high man for Bunn and for the game with 21 points. He was followed by Wayne Horton s 16 points and 9 rebounds, and by Glenn Cone's 14 points and 10 rebounds. McCray Thome and John Wheless played a fine defen sive game with McCray get ting 9 rebounds and John led in assists. Johnny King was high for the Eagles with 15 points. The Bunn girls eased to their 6th win of the season behind April Chamblee's fine offensive and defensive play and a good all-around team effort. The winner of the game was never in doubt, as Bunn began substituting in the 3rd quarter. April Chamblee and Jean Hagwood tied for high with 12 points each.
