The annual statement of the Pelican fire insurance company, of New Orleans, appears in this issue. It is an old and sound oompany, carefully managed, and f its general manage for North; Carolina and South Carolina, Mr, Walter D. Hay has! secured for it a gratifyingly; largo business in both States.. The company's merits commend it to insurers. Mr. Hsy is an energetic agent and; is doing the company good service.
