Dr. Leith is pastor. Over 20 joined the
Second Methodist, of which Mr. Coburn

at the Episcopal chapel. About 40 are to
join the First Presbyterian church, Dr.

A meeting of the directors of the North
Carolina Midland Railroad was held at
Greensboro on the night of the 28th of
April, with the following result, as given
by a" Winston special to the Slate
Chronicle:
"At tlie directors' meeting of the North
Carolina Midland Railroad Company in
Greensboro last night it was decided to
build a; through line from Danville to
Mojresvilie. Bonds will be issued cov
ering the whole line of track aiid the
building will tx-in as soon as arrange
ments can be completed to that end."
