The man who attempts to ridicule the press has "tackled a buzz-saw." Whether right or " wrong, . the ; brethren will not permit themselves to be held up to public ridicule without hitting back. We would advise men who occupy positions that make it so very necessary that they should have the co-opera tion of the press, to be careful how they ridicule the quill drivers. We are .a "touchous" set. The value ot editors as po litical workers is 'appreciated by President Harrison to a de gree never approached by any other man who nUed that ex alted office. We never yet have seen the reason for ex cluding editors from office to make room for some fellow who has harangued a crowd three or four times, while the editor has worked without ceasing for his party.
