The Scotland Neck correspondent to the News and Observer says. "This .'oinmuiiiiy has rarely been so saddened as it was Sunday at the death of Mrs. Holdall Fd nuindsoti Josey, wife of Mr. Sam A. Dunn, a prominent and rising young lawyer of Scotland Neck, She was the daughter of Mr. R. C. Josey, one of the leading mer chants and business men of this town and county. Mrs. Dunn was a young woman of rare beauty and culture, am: her friends and admirers were many here and elsewhere. During the few brief years of their lives together Mr. and Mrs. Dunn had made a model home and they were highly esteemed by all the people of the town. Her illness was of only a few weeks' duration and but recently it was generally remarked how beautiful and strong she was in her young and happy life. Thorite, Jr., at Ait he, 10 participate in the pleas ures of a lawn party, given by their charming daughter, Miss Boyd Thorite, in honor of the visiting young ladies in their neighborhood. It was an ideal night. The lawn was artistically lighted by J ipaiiese lanterns, which blend ed with the rays of the moon, lent a soft glow to the scene and added to the loveliness of the fair partici pants. Lemonade and ice cream with cake and confections were served and highly enjoyed by all. Panacea continues to be quite popular and many visitors are to be seen at the springs.
