The life which opened so full of promise ended in failure. An in quiry us- in the reason why elicited that he had lost his grip year ago. Further inquiry showed that do mestic troubles following one an other had unnerved him and caused him to lose his courage and ambi tion. It was a sad story and the pity is that the world shows so many similar tragedies. If men thus battered and bruised by ad verse circumstances would but re member that "God's in his heaven, and all's well on earth," they would bear up and press forward with undiminished faith and reso lution, notwithstanding that condi tions may sometimes be unfavorable.
