Cot. Duncan K. McRae's Locture. One of the highest compliments ever tendered to a public lecturer of any kind in the city of Wilmington was shown to Col. MacRae last night by the large audience which filled the Opera House to listen to thethrilling'eloquence of thiadis tinguished gentleman, fcfr the second time within a week, upon the subject of wa s unfavorable, the night being damp and cold and generally disagreeable out of door?; but it mattered not, the fame of the gifted orator had gone abroad, and these who had not heard him before, de termined to brave the weather for once at least and listen to the charm of the lec turer's magic eloquence, while those who before had sat under the charm of the brilliant display of oratory and learn ing, could not be deterred from the feast which having already tasted ef they knew awaited them again. But as we have published an extended notice of the lecture on a previous occasion, we deem it unnecessary to make a repetition of it to-day. Suffice it to say, that the w ole audience were charmed almost beyond their expectation and were carried aloDg ia a perfect maze of delight by tbe matchless eloquence and genius of the gifted lecturer. The Register of Deeds has issued mar riage licensee for one white and three col ored couples during the week. Capt. J. H.
