The Norwegian barque Johannes Foss, Captain Michaelseu, which arrived in port 'his morning from Uavro, reports that on the 18th of February, in latitude 22 40 Longitude 55.22, fell in with American se'iooner Louisa JiinhaU; which was abandoned; the vessel was dismasted and full of water. Garbage and Trash. The streets in this city are not, by any means, aa clean asjthey might be and as they should be. A gentleman who has been "around" tells us that there are piles of garbage and trash to be found in al most every direction and which do not appear to have been disturbed for weeks past. As the season is rapidly advancing, and has so far advanced, in fact, as to necessitate the appointment of a health officer at the expense of the police force we suggest that the garbage carts be put to their legitimate uses at once.
