A Lively Chase. Quite a lively chase was given a color ad man by the name of Wm. Wilson, this morning, who escaped from a trial Jus tice's office, by officer Richardson, of the Constabulary force. It see mi that the party above named was in custody at J. CL Hill's office and asked permission to step to the door to see a man , bat in stead of stopping at the door kept cn out into the street, quickening his pace after getting into tbe street into a pretty lively run. Officer Richardson bol:ed alter him shouting, stop him! stop him! but nobody stopped him, and on they sped, pursuer and pursued, until two racers who were on their mettle, reached the confines of Paddy's Hollow when strange to say, so we are informed, a boy of about fifteen summers seizing a Urge rock in bis hand planted himself right in front of the escaped prisoner, and with the mighty missile raised threatened the fngitiva with vengeance dire and commanded hlm to halt immediately, whereupon the pursued man halted and the officer coming up planted his right hand in the prisoner's collar, told him to "aton dat foolishness and come along1' and away they wwot, aide by aide hack to the high dignitary's office from which the escape had just been made.
