She thinks that they may do some good, and so do we. There is a mighty heap of truth and cense; in these hints: 1 rr nr.t think, when vou have won a. wlfe that TOU haT6 aigo won a iaTe. The eorn crop may now b con sidered as made. Good News From &aiiipsu. i j-.. vui, tj. x. rowu, or oampson coun ty, who was iu the city to-day, gave us very encouraging reports as tothecondi tion ot the crops in Sampson county. He has himselt been recently in several sec Hons and knows whereof he speaks by personal observation. He says that in many portions of the county the crops are excellent, aud that the farmers will make this year more than an average crop, and this, too, in spite of the very dry spell awhile back. This is certainly good news. The crops in many parts of Sampson were a total failure last year and the results of this year's labors will put the good people on their feet again. Personal. Dr. J. Francis King, of this city, with his wife and family, is about to leave us, we regret to learn, for a rather extended stay. His health has declined very j seri ously f late, and he finds it imperatively necessary to retire for a short time from the cares and anxieties of his profession to j-eat and recuperate. He will go hence to New York and probably from there to Sar atoga Springs. In the Fall he will return to New York and remain a few months and will then decide as toh's future plans. He will probably be absent a year and we trust that he will return to us at the end of that tims with his health entirely restored. The charlotte Grays. The projected excursion of the Char lotte Grays to this city, Smithville and the Sounds did not take place. They were expected here this morning on the C. C Railway train and there was much disappointment felt aud expressed when it was found that they had not arrived. Capt. John H. Allen received a letter from Capt. Alexander, stating that the excarsion was a failure i and that it was postponed, at all events for the present. We understood here . that only i sixteen tickets had been sold and that this re sult was so discouraging that the thing was abandoned. We trust that it will prove merely a j postponement and that the Greys will yet favor us with the promised visit before the Summer season shall have waxed aad waned. , A CAKD TO TUB AFFLICTED. l)r Robertson, 19 South Eutaw street I Baltimore, Md , I From long experience in hospital and pri vate practice, guarantees a permanent cure in all diseases or the Urinary organs and of the Nervous System viz ; Organic and Seminal Weakness, Impotency loss of sexual power) Nervous Debility and Trembling, Palpitation pf the Heart, Dim ness of Sight or Giddiness, Pains in the Back and Nocturnal Emissions, etc., all resulting from abuses in youth or excess in manhood.
