Powers, of Leesburg, Pen der county, was in the city, yesterday but unfortunately we did not have the pleas ure of seeing him until just after going to i press. For the benefit of the readers of the Review and Journal we subjected him to a brief interviewing process, whereby we learned that crops in his vicinity are generally good. The corn, ho thinks has not suffered materially on account of tha dry weather, and where good stands were secured in the spring, which, how ever, was not universally the case, the crop I will be above the average.
