Wessell, on North Water street, but tie attempt proved abortive for Mr. Wessell caught him in the act and turned him i over to the police, and this morning he appeared at the bar of the court to answer to tbe charge of larceny. The Mayor, after hearing the evidence, bound him over to the Criminal Court in the sum of $50 and ordered the aforesaid Beery to be delivered into the custody of the Sheriff This finished the business of the day ana the court adjourned.
