The Cornet Concert Club had a
meeting for practice last night
which was fully attended and at
which several popular pieces were
rehearsed. One new member a
tenor was admitted,, and meetings
will be held regularly hereafter.
We are glad that the members of
the Club are manifesting a lively in
terest in its progress and that it is
now in a prosperous condition.

order an election on the question of
subscription whenever one-fifth of
the qualified voters of the city shall
petition therefor; that the commit

ing the application of the said rail
road company and find that the
same contains the, names of ! more
than eleven hundried qualified voters
of the city, which is much more than
one-fifth of the qualified voters o

ed submitting the question of sub
scription to said railroad in the sum
of $100,000 to the voters of the city
agreeably to said application and
the terms of the charter of said coin
