Another Excursion Steamer.
It is announced that the, steamer
Queen of the 8t. John's, which runs
regularly on the St. John's river,
Florida, in the Winter season, is to
be put on the route between this
city and Southport this Summer.
The ne w boat will be under the com-
luapd of Capt. R. P. Paddison. he
is said to have accommodations for
1,500 passengers. She is a
large
boat, 200 feetjlong, with three decks,
land propelled by double engines.
She will be a great acquisition to
the river fleet but, isn't this thing
getting to be a little overdone?

soa gave a colored ; man who was in
her employ $3.75, directing him to
go to a certain place and purchase
and pay for certain goods of Which
she stood in need. He remained
awav so long that Mrs. Brysoin be
came uneasy, as to her money anc
dispatched a white man in her em
ploy after him. , It was then iascer
tained that the man had bought the
goods and had had them -charged to
Mrs. Bryson, instead of paying for
them. He was found and arrested
but broke away from the police oh
his way to the City Hall, only to be
rearrested and safely secured. I;
