Hume, of Brevard, who was in the city yesterday, we learn that a mob of about twenty-five men visit ed the house occupied by two grass widows, in Cedar Mountain town ship, Transylvania county, on Sun day night last, and cut down the building, and with hickory whips, beat the inmates unmercifully. It eeems that the women were guilty of immoral couduet, and" the citizens had stood the nuisance as long as they were able.
