The managers say the hospital is now firmly estab lished and growing in favor, "and we feel gratified to know the past year has been the most sue cessfui of its existence, as tne re ceipts show, being $069.01, while for 18S7 they were $333.03. And we feel confident that had we been able to build and furnish a ward with prop er conveniences for pay patients the receipts would have been three times as large; but the amount ap propriated for that purpose .we found insufficient. If we can get an additional appropriation to com plete this important work we fee the time is not far distant when the institution wilt he, probably, self sustaining and a pride and an or nament to the city.
