Price, of this city, one of the Exodus Commissioners, spoke o a large crowd of colored people 1 O" at Scotland Neck recently. The Weldon Netvs reports that he "was canvassing the State to prevent the negroes from being deceived by so called emigration agents. He -would advise all the negroes to remain where they are until the committee could make a report. He said that President Harrison would be asked to use his influence to induce Con' gress to make an appropriation to aid the negroes to emigrate when once a place was found for them to go Down the Sound. Col. E. S. Latimer, Capt. Jno. H. Daniel, Mr. B, Southerland and Mr. W. M. Powell left the Hammocks yesterday afternoon in the yacht Vixen tor a few days' sport down the Sound. They carried a tent, and will have some fine sport in fishing and hunting. How far they will go will depend in a large meas ure on the weather, which at this time gives every indication of being nleasimr and suitable.
