The regular annual meeting of the Ladies Memorial Association was held yesterday afternoon. Theie was a full attendance and miudi in terest manifested. The meeting bt ing duly called to order, the report of the Treasurer was read, after which the Secretary read the Presi dent's report, and then the members proceeded to business. A resolution was offered and adop ted to the effect that inasmuch as many who attended the services on Memorial Day, and'were anxious to hear the address, were debarred the pleasure of enjoying it because of the disturbing element within the grounds of restless children, playing around the mound, thus endanger ing the decorations, and thoughtless youner'men and girls talking and laughing together, it was resolved that hereafter a repetition of the same shall not occur; that a commit tee of marshals, four at least, shall be appointed by the chief marshal of the day. to enforce and maintain order during the services, having full power to refuse admittance into the lot all except those who have borne the march, or who shall wear the badge of the Association; and no small children shall be allowed within the enclosure, unless wearing badges, or who are under the care of parents or teachers. Resolved, That a committee be appointed to confer -with the Presi dent of the Children's Memorial As sociation requesting that officer-to use her influence towards merging that Association into the Ladies', with reduced entrance fee. The Children's Association having been organized with a view to this end. Resolved also, That whereasin the coming year the 10th of May falls on Sunday, the services, being entirely of a religious character, be not post- Eoned, as on a former occasion, bat e held as usual; that a clergyman be invited to address the people in a manner suitable for Sunday. Also, that the regular annual Historical Address be delivered by an orator not yet selected for the occasion; that said oration shall be delivered in the Ooera House' on some even ing as early as possible after Memo rial Day.
