A Rad Week. In all, there have been 17 deaths in this city during the present week. Of these 11 were children and the fearfully warm weather may ai count for this, in a .great measure. The mortality among the ohildren is always the greatest, everywhere, when the thermometer is at its high est. There were four deaths by violence, also, in the list. Oakdale repoits three, all children;- Bellevue thfe"e, two adults and one child, and Pine Forest eleven, four adults and seven children. At tlie lieacli Yesterday. The number of those; who wentJ down to Carolina Beach yesterday on the excursion given by the W. S F. E. Co. No. 1 is conservatively es timated at 800. It was the ideal day for an outing of this nature and the fact was liberally appreciated. The wind was from the East and there was a good surf, which was full of bathers nearly all day long. The Passport brought up a large number in the afternoon and it required two trips of the train to take all from the beach to the boat. Te Fourth at the ISeaeh There will be big times at Car o lina Beach on the Fourth, and it is expected that the fun there on that day will far eclipse that'of any other day in the history of the 'place.'
