Thia exemption shall only bo granted in cas33 in. which tiiere ia no while male adult on the farm or plantation not liable to military gervicernor unless tho person claim ing the exemption was on the 1st day of Jan’y 1864, either tho owner and manager or overseer of said plantation, but in no case shall more than one person be exempted for one farm or plantation. 2.
