An automobile line between Mount Airy and the White Sulphur Springs would prove' a regular bopanza to the right person or 1 company. Huff Buggy Company hes-e, have been bought out by the Mount Airy Buggy Company. The deal was closed some time ago. , Many-new dwellings are being erect edIn the city. The colored young men of.' this city have organized a brass band the w-hite band having disbanded and sold Mt ; their, instruments to the colored band. , All the granite work for " the great monument to be erected by the U. 8. government at Gettysburg. Paif is, to come from, the quarries of the North Carolina Granite 'Corporation of this place. The monument will be 80 feet square and 100 feet' high. ' The arches will; be approached by granite steps to a terrace entering the four arches, and a flight of stairs to the dome .con necting with the walk, around the base of. the dome for observation purposes.
