To make preparations to welcome the New York Herald-Atlanta Journal automobile scout cars, on their way from Atlanta to New York over the Capitals Route there Is to be a meet ing of automobile committees and au tomobile owners In Raleigh this even ing at six o'clock The meeting will be held at six o'clock, and at It will be the.. Cham ber of Commerce Automobile Route committee. Mr. Joseph us .- Daniels, chairman; Dr. Hubert A. Royster, Mr. E. C. Hlllyer, Mr. C. B B&rbee and Col. F. A. Olds, and the Board of Al derman committee. Mayor J. 8.-Wynn Mr. Joseph G. Brown, and Mr. W. A Cooper. These two committees Unite and urge to be present all owners of automobiles in Raleigh, so that a big reception to the Scout Cars parly may be given in this city, for. Throughout all the Capitals ' Route section from Atlanta to New York there is being shown the greatest en thusiasm! over the location of the route, and the people are being aroused as never before to the Import ance of good roads. The Scout Cars have already left Atlanta on their way to the North, and are due to . reach Raleigh on Friday. A telegram to the New and Observer received yesterday from the Atlanta Journal says: "Jour nal !! i aid's Scout Cars left Atlanta eight-forty this morning." Leonard Tufts, of Plnehurst, is enthusiastic over the prospects of se curing the Capitals Route, as the offi cial automobile route through the South.'
