Of the buildings to be ready by July fifteen one will accom modate one hundred women, and the other Is A three building section of the colony-plan. The furniture and equip ment for the- buildings will be here by the time they are ready for use. The Commission had under discus sion a call from the, Eastern Hosltal, colored, at Goldsboro for a new build ing for the Insane, the request being for accommodations for' 150 more, pa tients. - Irr his statement to the Com mission. Dr. ! Faison. the superintend ent, says that he finds a great In crease in Inmates among the negroes. At the Eastern Hospital all the new buildings heretofore asked for have been completed.. ' j . In regard to the Western Hospital at Morganton. the - Commission says that its - understanding is that the work, done there by the Commission aeems to satisfy the officials, who at present are only . asking for the con struction, of a spur railroad of about a mue in lengin to oe usea in naving suDDlfes brought In. It now costs the Hospital about 41.600 a year to ffo' the neceissary ! hauling, 'and It is estimated that the spur railroad track can be built for about 115,000. v At the meeting of the State Hospital Commission there were present , Mr. Charles A.
