BUILD MORE HOMES.
Somebody laughed at the little item
in The Record last week about fifty
"new houses built here could be rented
in a short time. But it is true. If more
homes were built Pittsboro would
soon begin to show much life, mer
• chants would gain largely, new school;
houses would have to be built, be- j
cause fifty families, allowing five to:
the family, would increase the popula
tion 250, nearly half what the town
already has.

A MOST SUCCESSFUL SEASON.
We understand that the season at
Lakeview will close Saturday, Sept.
Bth. This has been the most success
ful season that Lakeview has ever
had. Large crowds have been there,
every week from the time the resort j
opened in the early summer. Picnic i
parties and excursionists from Ral-|

not only be a benefit to the town, bu*:,
