PAGE FOUR yfresfotie Have Purchased 100 % More GUM-DIPPED TIRES [This Year Compared With Same Period Last Year] THE demand from car owners for Gum-Dipped Tires has given Firestone Dealers a large increase in volume enabling them to sell these tires to you at the lowest prices in history. On the cars of motorists everywhere, these wonderful tires are delivering unheard-of long mileage with greater safety and comfort. BLAIR, SHERIFF-TREASURER CHATHAM COUNTY PITTSBORO, N, C, Notice to Taxpayers While I have been restrained from v, filing the land of delinquent taxpayers of the county, this is to advise that the restraining order is only a temporary order and may be dissolved at the final hearing and I will be com pelled to proceed to advertise and sel| the land of those who have not paid their taxes. I therefore, urge and re quest each and every delinquent tax payer to please pay their taxes at once. Yours truly, G. W. BLAIR, Sheriff. THE CHATHAM RECORD RESOLUTIONS OF RESPECT Our Heavenly Father has called from our midst, to his home above, our well beloved brother, Mr. C. W. Lutterloh, who has been a member of this church and Sunday school for quite a number of years. He served a long time as steward in the church and as president of his Sunday school class, of which he was an efficient member. He was also a member of the Junior Order of Manndale Council No. 249. The home life of Brother Lutterloh was ideal, he tried to make his hom one in which it was a privilege to be a guest. Gracious and charm ing in manner ,enthusiastic and vul of the joy of living, he was a companion coveted by old and young alike. A useful citizen, a loyal friend, a devoted an dtender husband and father, he will be greatly missed, in the home, in the church, in the com miriuty, and in the Sunday school. May He who comforts the widow and fatherless give to his loved ones peace and the strength to follow the footsteps of the dear one gone before. While his influence will abide with us his work is fin ;shed and he has received the wel come plaudit “W r ell done thou good and faithful servant ,thou hast been faithful over a few things I will make the ruler over many things.” We feel keenly the loss of a faithful member in his going. Therefore be it resolved: First. That we the members of Brown’s Chapel church and Sun day school desire to express our ap preciation for his devotion and loy alty to his church and Sunday school. Second: That we assure the be reaved family our deepest sym pathy and that we share with them the great loss, yet we bow in hum ble submission to the one who doeth all things well, knowing our ! loss is his eternal gain. Third. That a copy of these re solutions be given to the bereaved family, a copy be sent to the Chris tian Advocate and Chatham Re cord for publication, and a copy be spread upon the minutes of the j church and Sunday school. (Signed). JOHN R. GOODWIN, J. T. MANN. Z. L. DARK, Committee . CARD OF THANKS We wish to thank the people of Chatham and Orange counties and other counties as well for the nu merous deeds of kindness shown us in the loss of our home by fire March the fifth.
