Thursday, February 7, 1929. youth sentenced TO PENITENTIARY (Monroe Journal) Judge Shaw, a veteran on the bench, has taken occasion several thnes durin this session of court to speak ct“ his regret in having to send youths to the slate prison. Several boys between the ages of sixteen and twenty-one have been sentenced by this court. This class seems to be increasing all the time. The State training school at Concord can cake boys only under sixteen, and there is no place for boys older than that.
