Things were ’pulled out of that store and sold that no one would have thought of going to it for. For instance, horse collars in stock for ten years were found, and sold for only about a fifth of what they originally sold for. The ! people got real values Saturday and I Mr. Johnson got money for what he | had been keeping hidden, for odds and ends. He will have another spell of it Saturday afternoon, and will have his store vacant for Jones Broth ers August 1. $ Scientists say that flies carry germs of typhoid fever, infantile paralysis, summer disorders and over thirty other diseases. Frances Beal’s Birthday Party Miss Hettie Frances Beal was at home to her little friends from 3 to C o’clock last Saturday afternoon. The occasion was the celebration of her fifth birthday. Twelve little girls were present, all bringing presents. The following were present: Misses Mozelle and Clara James Cheek, Ma rion Emerson and Dorothy Beaver, Lou Ray and Margaret Buelin, Eve lyn and Helen Wishon, all of Bear Creek, and Marie and Grace Mur row, Nannie Frances Paschall and Hellen Brooks, all of Bonlee. Cream and cake were served those present.
