Now comes a story by an airplane pilot of a fight between a giant condor, with a wing spread of at least 12 feet, and a tri-motored .steel airplane high in the air over the Andes mountains in South Amer ica. According to the pilot the big bird was angered by the plane’s ap pearance in his territory and flew straight into it. The plane was going at a speed of 110 miles an hour, and the bird was quickly knocked out by the impact and fell like a plu'mmett. Just another instance of man’s su premacy over other animals.
