Meekins Denies Claims —*— / Three lawyers who were responsi ble for throwing the old Tri-State to bacco association into bankruptcy and who have already been paid $5,000 each for their services, want ed $25,000 more apiece of the to bacco growers’ money and made claim for that amount. After con sidering the claim for several months Judge Meekins in federal court has denied it. The judge hopes to find some legal w r ay to turn over the bal ance of the tobacco money to the new association being formed undei provisions of the farm relief act. Ihe three lawyers were W. M. Person of Louisburg, P. W. Glidewell of Reids ville and E. P. Buford of Lawrence ville, Va. NOTICE OF SERVICE NORTH CAROLINA CHATHAM COUNTY IN THE SUPERIOR COURT.
