As to “poetry,” we are not a poet and shall not under take to revise obituary “poetry” and make it passable for print. Again, we do not expect to publish , poetry that may be found in al most any hymn book. Again, a little sense of proportion on the part of those contributing obituary mater ial would help us. For instance, this. week we. are printing only- a halt-size paped; it means loss of money, actual money, to make the paper larger, and as it is we do not make anything. Now imagine our readers would think to get a .half-size, paper and it filled with matter about deaths that have al ready been fully reported. Such matter in hand is lying over fill a larger-sized paper is printed: Maness who shot Dr. Monroe of Sanford gets 12 years in the pepi teittiary. Mr. and Mrs. R. 11. Mr. I Harry Jordon/ who had been visit ing his mother, returned to New York a week or two ago. Mr. and Mrs. H. J. Nyal Womble, who spent a month at F’ort Bragg, won third prize for the 100-yard dash, the 440- yard run, and was one of a win- > ning team in the relay races. There will be all day services with dinner on the grounds. The public is invited. Rev. J. A. Dailey is away this week, assisting Rev. H. E. Lance inrevival services at Semora. A few crops in this county has been somewhat damaged by hail the past week. His friends are glad to know that Mr. Julius Suit of Bynum has recovered from an operation for appendicitis. Mr. Charlie Fields, who was very seriously hurt by a cave-in when he was getting sand near Bynum two or three weeks ago, is report ed to be doing as well as could THE CHATHAM RECORD, PITTSBORO, N. It will be months before he recovers . Mr. E. M. Phillips, here Monday, informs us that he is assisting Mr. J. R. Lambert in soliciting busi- J ness for the Farmer’s Mutual Fire j Insurance Association, which is ad vertised in this paper. His friends feel much gratified at the success of the operation upon Mr. W. P. Horton. An ulcer and the appendix were taken out, we understand; yet the patient came through in good shape, considering the seriousness of the operation. He is at Watts Hospital. Mrs. Hor ton is near him. i • FAMILY i To Insure Your Pro perty—The Farmer’s Mutual Gives Insur ance At Cost. Fires come, like accidental death, when you least expect them; there fore every farmer should carry some insurance on all his build ings. It is too late after your buildings are destroyed by fire or lightning. Insure now and be on the safe side. The premium you pay will not break you; by.t in all probability a fire would. " Adults can, and do, contract many children’s diseases. And, usually, they suffer from them much more than children do. For instance, many adults contract worms, an ailment usually i associated with children. Sometimes 1 they suffer intensely and take expen sive medical treatments, without reali- ' zing that worms are the cause of their troubles. Yet, the symptoms are the same as in children, loss of appetite and weight, grinding the teeth and rest less sleep, itching of the nose and anus; and abdominal pains. They are daily absorbing the toxins, or poisons, created by accumu lated waste matter in their constipated digestive systems. Sooner or later disease will conquer their weakened bodies. - If you have dizzy spells, headaches, coated tongiM, bad breath, insomnia, no appetite, bilious attacks or pains in the back and limbs, you are probably suffering from self poisoning caused by constipation.
