PAGE FOUR MORE ABOUT | MONCURE NEWS Miss Catherine Thomas, who is teaching at Bynum School this year spent the last week-end at home with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Thomas. Tuesday Evening, Nov. 25th a write-up of this occassion will ap pear in next week’s paper. Messrs. L. E. and Jack Thomas of Wilmington are visiting their sis ter Mrs. Jarvis E. Johnson on Route two. . Mrs. Julia Stedman spent several days last week with her sister, Mrs. Bettie Thomas, who has been sick and who is staying at this time with her daughter, Mrs. Addie Gunter of Bonsai. The members of the W oman s Missionary Auxiliary met at the home of Mrs. Daisy Lambeth last Thursday evening for a social meet ing. At the appointed time a good number of the members gathered and were met at the door by Mrs. Lambeth. As the Gift Shop had to be planned, a business was called by the President, Mrs. W. W. Stedman. Mrs. W. C. Harvard held the devotional and a most approp riate Psalms of Praise were read and Thanksgiving talk was made by Mrs. Harvard. After prayer, Miss Boone sang a beautiful solo, with Mrs. Lambeth playing the accom paniment. Ev ery one spent a most enjoyable evening and Mrs. Lambeth made a most charming hostess. The Epworth Junior Society with Miss Melba Moore leader, gave a good program last Sunday evening with large attendance. The Epworth League also gave a good program with Mrs. W. W. Stedman, leader.
