Mathis and Rhoda Pinnix Mathis, na tives of Yadkin county. Mr. Mathis was a member of the Baptist denomination and was a fine Christian gentleman. He was an outstanding citizen of his community and was well known throughout the county. Surviving him are two daugh ters. Mrs. Rhoda Martin, of Ron da, and Mrs. Dicie Staley, of Roanoke.
