Mr. Oakes was brought to the hospital here shortly after he was found In a serious condition from loss of blood. He was discharged from the hospital several days ago but returned for treatment a week before Mis death, after the wound had become infected. The deceased was a member of Harmony Grove Friends church. Funeral services were held Snn- dav .afternoon .at Boonville Bap tist church. Interment was in the church cemetery.
