A long table was ar ranged In the dining room, from which a bounteous picnic dinner was sers’ed at the noon hour. The table was centered with a huge white cake decorated with fifty- three mlnature yellow candles. Also on table were bowls of the yellow jonquils, the same flowers being used in pi-ofusion through out the attractive home, which was built of logs a long time ago. Around thirty were present and showered the honoree with lots of nice gifts. Ed win Koontz, of Welcome, the mar riage vows being solemnized in Florence, S. C., Thursday, .March 21, 1940. The bride, the youngest daugh ter of Mrs. F. D. Forester, Sr., of North Wilkesboro, and the late Mr. Forester, is a graduate of the North Wilkesboro high school and has completed a business course at Lenoir-Rhyne College in Hickory. The bridegroom is a junior at Lenoir-Rhyne College, and is a member of the Rho Sig ma fraternity.
