tertained the North Wllkeeboro
Kiwanis clwh Friday noon with
five numbers by the chorus and
the trio.
Thj glee club was directed by
Miss Anne Jones with Miss Ellen
Robinson as accompanist. The
numbers which were sung were:
“Send Out the Light,” “Bach’s
Choral,” “Jeanle With the Light
Brown Hair,” “Goose Girl,’’ “The
Wooden Sollders” and “Slu-mber
Song.”
J. R. Hii was program chair
man for the day.
Paul Rhodes was Introdftced
into membership in the club and
the membership button was pre
sented by Rev. Eugene Olive.
Attention was called to the fact
that the club will meet on Wed
nesday of this week and that
Rear Admiral Percy W. Foote
will be the speaker.
Sub-Station Storage
House Is Completed
Duke Power company has com
pleted construction of a storage
house of dimensions of 20 x 40
feet at the sub-station in this
city. The new building is one of
many improvenrents which have
been made recently to insure
maximum electric service
throughout the North W’ilkesboro
branch of the company.
