Cowles at tended the annual memorial day services and homecoming day celebration at Msronies Metho dist church, near Goldston, in Chatham county, on Sunday. The land on which the church stands was donated by the late William B. Meroney and his wife. Mr. Meroney being a great-great grandfather of Mrs. Cowles on the maternal side.
