V Home Demonstration Club Has a Meeting The Home Demonstration club of Mnlberry-Falrplalns met at the home of Mrs. T. H. Deal for their April meeting. There were nine members, three to join, and one visitor present. The meeting was called to or der by the president and the club sang "It’s A Good Time To Get Together” and repeated the col lect In concert. During the business Mrs. Page Cheat told about the April council meeting. ‘ ft ww decided by the club to sell magazines and to or der tape. Mrs. Greene, the county home demonstration agept, gave out lesson sheets on “Finishes For An Attractive and Durable Garment". She also demonstrated the cor rect way to put on collars, hem properly, put in zippers, finish seams and the correct way to put In the new style sleeve. Mrs. Deal gave a tongue twister. Mrs. Oscar Dancy won the prize. Our president gave a quiz on the 'Food Basket” and the prize was won by Mrs. Arvel Phifer. Ronda Home Club In Monthly Meet The Ronda Home Demonstra tion club heltf Its May meeting In the lunch room the second Tues day, having fifteen members and two visitors present. ^ The meeting opened with pray er and the usual business. Mem bers answered the roll call with the number of vegetables they had growing in their garden. Mrs. E. D. Byrd reported 18 different vegetables, and the club present ed her with a garden trowel. The topic this month was ‘‘Laundering and Laundry Short Cuts.” Mrs. Avery Whittington led the discussion, Mrs. Greene, the home demonstration agent, being absent at this meeting.
