Mrs. Williams was married on
January 24, 1882, to Michael Co
lumbus Williams and to this union
were born six children, five of
whom survive: Mrs. W. B. Carl
ton, of Winston-Salem, Mrs. F.
H. Gllreath, Louis, M. Williams,
Nannie N. Williams, and C. Glenn
Williams, all of Wilkesboro. She
is also survived by five grandchil
dren and two great grandchildren.
In the going of Mrs. Williams,
the family, loses from their midst
a devoted mother, the community
a faithful friend and neighbor,
and the church a devoted member.
We feel her parting is our loss but
her eternal gain.
An invalid for several years,
her patience and gentleness are
too deeply engraved on our hearts
for forgetfulness.
We cannot say—and we will
not say
That she is dead^—She is
just away.
