Mr. Sebastian is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Arlie Sebastian, and the grandson, of the Rev. and Mrs. C. M. Caudill, of Crewe. He Is a graduate of Crewe High School and spent two years in V-5 of the United States Naval Reserve. (He will graduate from the Apprentice School of New port News the lott gust and enter the Georgia School of Technology, Atlanta, Ga., in September. D. A. R. Chapter In Monthly Meeting, Mrs.- C. DEL Cowles, Sire. C. T. Doughton, and Miss Rebecca Moseley combined hospitality to the members of the Rendesvous Mountain chapter of the Daugh ters of the American 'Revolution in their monthly meeting held Tuesdhy afternoon at the Cowles home in Wilkesboro. Mrs. Russell G. Hodges, the regent, was in charge of the business session, and for the program Miss Mose ley read an Interesting article jon old fans. During the social hour the guests were invited into the dining room where a sweet course with tea was served, tea being poured by Miss Moseley. There has been enacted by the General Assembly of North Carolina, effective July 1, 1947, House Bill No. 63 known as the "Motor Vehicle Safety and Responsibility Act". This Act Provides: /1 \ After involvement in an automot>ile accident causing bodily injury or " ' death of any person or damage to property in excess of $50.00, such ' damages must be satisfied within 60 days after Judgment has been ?? rendered by a court of competent jurisdiction. (2) The commissioner of Motor Vehicles of the State of North Carolina upon receiving proper evidence that a person has failed to satisfy a judgment within the prescribed period shall suspend the person's driver's license and registration plates. (O) In effect the law provides further such person's driver's license and 1 ' registration plates will not be reinstated until such judgment is sat* isfied and further that such person furnish the State of N. C. proof of financial responsibility. ' W Proof of financial responsibility means the taking out of a Liability Insurance Policy or posting bond or cash or securities for ($11,000) as prescribed by the law. Note: To all persons carrying automobile insurance policies with the undersigned agents, such policies are NATIONAL STANDARD POLICIES and therefore comply with the law mentioned above and with laws of all other states having such a law or one similar.
