The defendant, Robert L. Huffman,
in the above-entitled action,
will take notice that the plaintiff
in said action did, on the 81st day
of October, 1947, commence an- action
against the said defendant in
the Superior Court of Wilkes county,
North Carolina, by the issuing
of summons, complaint and warrant
of attachment against the
property of the said defendant in
Wilkes county, North Carolina;
that the said warrant of attachment
was served by the Sheriff of
Wilkes county, North Carolina, by
levying: ripon certain property ti
the said defendant in the Northwestern
Bank, Inc., North Wilkeaboro,
N. C. And that summons in
said action was returned unserved
as shown by the said summons.
That said action is brought by
the plaintiff against the defendant,
Robert L. Huffman, to recover
money on contract in the amount
of $2,160.00.
The defendant, Robert L. Huffman,
i« further notified that he is
required to be and appear at the
office of the Clerk of the Superior
Court of Wilkes county, North
Carolina, on or before the 30th
day of December, 1947, to answer
or otherwise plead to said complaint,
a copy of which is deposited
in the office of the Clerk of the
Superior Court of Wilkes county
fbr the use of said defendant.
And he will further take notice
that if he fails to answer or otherwise
plead to said complaint on or
before the day hereinbefore set
forth, the plaintiff will apply to
the Court for the relief asked for
therein.
