Ramblers to Play Hartsell On Friday Wilkesboro high school's Ramblers, In good condition following their *13 to 6 victory over North Wilkesboro here Friday night, will.take on Hartsell high school team from Concord on the Wilkesboro field Friday afternoon, two o'clock. I Hartsell has a winning team and will offer a big threat to the Ramblers' try for an undefeated season. The Ramblers hare won nine in a row and have only Hartsell to beat for an undefeated and untied season. Coach Eddie Adelman has been putting the finishing touches to practice for the game, which should be a thriller. Bleachers have been obtained for the game, which should draw a large crowd who wish to see the Ramblers in the final appearance of the 1947 season. The game will be broadcast over radio station WKBC, North Wilkesboro. o Firemen and Others Are Highly Praisecl The North Wilkesboro board of education, of which J. B. McCoy is chairman, today issued a statement of appreciation to the members of the North Wilkesboro fire department and others who assisted in parking cars and getting cars out of the mud at Memorial Park Friday night at the Wilkeeboro-North Wilkesboro football game. They rendered exceptionally fine service, which was appreciated by the public. Our averagee last week must .be blamed on the weather. Walker had the best average with 73 while we fell to 70 while trying to call upsets in the wrong places. There were screwy scores all over the nation when football form took it8 worst licking. This week we are bock at it again with both shooting Cor a few upsets and special deluxe picks.
