Miss Roxie Mayberry, of High Point, Is recovering from an ap pendicitis operation Wednesday at The Wilkes Hospital. Miss Mayberry is a sister of Mrs.' L. G. Billings, of Dockery. v Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Fowler, of Flushing, Long Island, N. Y., visited here last week with Mrs. Fowler's mother, Mrs. O. C. Hol comb, and In Statesville with Mr. Fowler's people. They were call ed ho pie last Monday on account of the critical illness of Mr. Fowler's father, Mr. J. W. Fow ler, who died Wednesday at the Davis Hospital. Funeral and bur ial services were held 1m States ville Thursday. There will be a revival meet ing beginning at the Pentecostal Holiness church Monday, Sep tember 20, which will (be con ducted by Rev.
