will speak In the Monroe high
school stadium.

the Union County Farm Bureau,

Mrs. Rebecca Ragsdale, two bro
thers and two sisters: Leonard
and Glenn Ragsdale, Miss Hester
Ragsdale and Mrs. Lizzie Boaz,
all of Danville, Va.
Kills Big Rattler
Robert Holland killed a four
foot rattler Tuesday afternoon on
highway 115 about ten miles
south of this city. The snake,:
with nine rattles, was on the side 1
of the road when Mr. Holland
was passing in his car. He stop
ped and with a 22 rifle shot the
snake through the head.
