If a worker leaves no widow or child, his parents may qualify for monthly Insurance payments at age 65, but only if they were dependent on him. Lump-sum death payments are " made where there 1b no one eligible to claim a monthly insurance payment. A ML Airy Breaks Locals Win Streak North, Wilkesboro Flashers were blasting through the Blue Ridge league teams methodically, having rolled up five consecutive victories, until Monday night night when they struck a snag at Mt. Airy. The Granlteers took both ends of a double header, 6-2 and 4-2. The Flashers left their hitting form at home. Sam Crlssman limited the North Wilkesboro team to five hits in the opener, but one of the five was a tworun homer by Arnold Davis. Dick Long started on the mound and allowed four runs in three Jnnings. He was relieved by Leity Lee Bentley, who. allowed one hit and one run in three innings. In the second game the Flashers rolled up a 2-0 lead. Mt. Airy picked up one run, but in the seventh they added two more to clinch the contest and another In the eighth. In the ninth North Wilkesboro had the tying runs on base but fell short by one hit. Worth Cutchibertson went the route for North Wilkesboro in the second game. Nixon started for Mt. Airy and was relieved by Treece midway of the contest. North Wilkesboro collected only four hits. ■ ■ - . . . | Lose To Radford 7-6 The Flashers pulled a game out of the fire and dropped it In the eighth inning Tuesday night at Radford in their first meeting with the Rockets. Bentley started on the mound for North Wilkesboro and allowed four runs in six innings. The Flashers scored 1 in the seventh and fire in tie eighth to take a 6 to 4 lead. Bentley had been pulled for a pinch hitter in the seventh and in the eighth the Rockets scored three runs off Dick Long to sew up the game. Israel *ren, Puerto Rican, went the route for Radford but allowed ten hits. Pescitelli with < a triple and double and Daddlno With a double and single led North Wilkesboro's hitting. The loss to Radforid let the Flashers slip into a second place tie with Galax, while Wytheville went into first place by a half game with a 7 to I victory over Galax. EAST SIDE KIDS DEFEAT JUNIORS The East Side Kids beat the North Wilkesboro Juniors in a baseball came here Sunday by a score "of 5-0. Bussell, on the mound for the East Slders, held the Juniors to six hits and struck out nine in hurling the shut-out victory. Johnston and Day divided pitching duties for the Juniors with Emerson and Shew catchingWingler was the Bast Side catcher. The East Side Kids will play at Millers Creek Saturday morning.
