Route Two And Arbor Grove News Mr. and Mrs. Jimmle Sprinkle ! ?pent the Christmas Holidays with Mrs. Sprinkle's parents, Mr. and Mrs. B. M. Blmore. Mr. Herbert Wilson, of Win ?t on-Sal em, spent Christmas with his uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Blmore. Mr. Wilson attended church at Arbor Grove on Saturday night and Sunday. He made a talk In church and led In prayer. It was inspiring to all that heard him. We are very sorry Mrs. Edd Shoemaker has been very sick of heart ailment, but glad she is improved. Mr. Norman Ward, who holds a position in High Point, spent the week-end with his family. Mrs. Jackson is Record Li brarian at Tork county hospital. Arbor Grove Baptist church had its regular monthly meeting on Saturday night and Sunday, January 1. Rev. Tommie Luff man is pastor of the church. The soul stirring sermons were bene ficial to all. He will preach for us also on the fourth Sunday of February at 11 o'clock and every first and fourth Sunday thereaft er. Parks Lee Baity Rites December 24 Parks Lee Baity, born Sep tember 24, 1933, passed away December 21, 1949, being 16 years, 2 months, and 27 days of age. He was the son of Mrs. Pantha Baity Davis and the late Edmond V. Baity. He is survived by his mother and step father, Mr. and Mrs. M. Davis of Pores Knob, Route 1; two sisters, Mrs. Jonah Park er, of Oakwoods, Edna Mae of the home, and Edmond J. Baity of the United States Navy; also three step-sisters, W. A. Booth, I of Elizabethtown, Mrs. Leonard Caudill and Mrs. Bruce Eller, both of Statesville; one step brother, Maurice D. Davis, cf Alexandria, Va.; his grandpar ents, Mr. and Mrs. P. M. Baity,' of Pores Knob, and his grand- i mother, Mrs. Martha Marlow, of Newberry, S. C. He was preceded in death by his father,. Edmond V. Baity on September 19, 1938. At an early age he professed religion and joined New Hope Baptist church, and remained a faithful member until death. Parks was a sophomore at Wilkesboro high school, and was well liked by his school mates and many, many friends. Funeral services were held December 24, at 2:00 o'clock p. m. at New Hope Baptist church in the Gilreath community with Rev. P. C. Parks, of Cycle, and the pastor, Rev. Tommie Luff man in charge. The pall bearers, Talmadge Fletcher, Donald Hendren, Max Hendren, Leonard Caudill, Fred Baity and W. G. Marlowe were chosen from relatives and friends. Flowers were carried by cousins and former schoolmates. Song service was rendered by the Hendren quartet. Hospital Births First baby born in 1950 . t the Wilkes hospital was a son.
